Walter K. "Wally" Rumbel, Jr.

Walter K. “Wally” Rumbel, Jr., 59, of New Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was a retired Sargeant with the State Corrections Facility, Camp Hill and then was an employee of Pinnacle Health System at Harrisburg Hospital. He was a Navy veteran, a 1973 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill, a HAM Radio Operator, enjoyed photography and was a passionate volunteer for both the New Cumberland and Lower Allen Fire Departments.
Wally was born in North Middleton Twp., PA to the late Walter K. and Helen (Audakimow) Rumbel, Sr.
He is survived by his daughters, Tara Grdjan and husband Shawn of Lemoyne and Cheryl Hanna of Camp Hill; his sister Jean Marie Mitchell of York; six grandchildren, Britney and Alissa Grdjan and Kygh, Noah, Dakota and Rylee Hanna; and his still close friend and ex-wife Wendy Rumbel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time in the funeral home. Burial with honors will be at 11 am on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
