Wanda Anita Wolf Fuhrer, 87, of New Cumberland, died Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Messiah Lifeways, Upper Allen Twp.
She retired as an Administrative Assistant for the Senate of Pennsylvania; a 55 year member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, New Cumberland and served in various positions in the church, including being on the Altar Guild, being a greeter and organizing the St. Paul Christmas Bazaar. Wanda was also a member of Telephone Pioneers of America; PARSE (PA Assn. of Retired State Employees); Friends of the New Cumberland Library.
Born on October 24, 1930, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Jennie I. (Frady) Wolf.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, William Lee Fuhrer; a son and his wife, William Bradley and Shera Lee Fuhrer of Camp Hill; a granddaughter, Heather Leigh Lorusso; a great grandson, Kingston Lee Lorusso.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday in St. Paul Ev. Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Sharron R. Blezard officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 530 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
