William H. Speese, Jr.

William H. Speese, Jr. (Bill) 78, of Carlisle passed away at home on Thursday July 31st.
He was a retired Internal Technician from the former Bell Telephone. He was a 1954 graduate of the former New Cumberland High School. He served fifteen years in the Air National Guard. He was active in the The Shared Ministry Chuch in Harrisburg, Dillsburg American Legion Post 26, Lower Allen VFW Post 7530, West Shore Elks Lodge 2257, Carlisle Fraternal Order of Eagles 1299, and Mechanicsburg Planet Fitness Center. He enjoyed, Family and Friends, Dancing, swimming, telling jokes and listening to Musical Bands. Brad Crum especially a favorite!
He was born February 13, 1936 in Harrisburg to the late Willam H. and Anna Bell (Peters) Speese, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother Thomas.
He is survived by two sons, Bret W. (Linda) of Mechanicsburg and Scott A. (Sherry) of New Cumberland; a daughter, Kristin E. Worley of Boiling Springs; brother, Ronald of Hummelstown; five grandchildren, Shana Speese Nunnally, Ryan Shettel, Katie Shettel Ginanni, McKenzie Speese and Dillon T. Worley and seven great-grandchildren, who will all truly miss him and his laughter. Alway's seen with his very close friend Darlene Firestone of Dillsburg.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30pm Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Gordon. Burial will follow in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp.
