William H. Watson, 90, of Camp Hill died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at his home.
A retired First Lieutenant of the U.S. Army, he was the recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star among several other medals. He was a faithful member of St. Theresa Parish, enjoyed playing cards with his family and travelled extensively.
He was the devoted husband of 63 years of Florence (Mussinano) Watson whom preceded him in death in 2010. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lorry Petch.
He is survived by four sons, John W. (Pam) of VA, Lawrence C. (Tammy) of Colonial Park, Peter M. (Patty) of Mechancisburg and Warren D. of Camp Hill; three daughters, Teresa M. Ortenzio of Steelton, Diana M. Cooper (Karl) of FL, Carol A. Watson (Joseph Mihaliak) of Highspire; two brothers, Calvin of Ephrata and John of NJ; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 9:30 until 10:30am Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Tuesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
