William G. Kehres

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William G. Kehres, a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, at the age of 82. William's journey in this world began on August 23, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, marking the beginning of a life filled with love, laughter, and dedicated service.

William, a proud Army veteran, served his country with honor from September 8, 1959, until August 27, 1962. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career as a Sales Engineer in the mechanical industry, making a lasting impact on all those he encountered. William's dedication to his work and his unwavering commitment to excellence were truly remarkable.

In addition to his professional achievements, William was an avid golfer, passionate about biking, bird watching, and reading. He found solace in the companionship of cats and enjoyed every moment spent on the golf course, perfecting his swing and sharing stories with fellow enthusiasts.

William was an active member of the Mechanicsburg Club, Dillsburg VFW, and Lions Club, where his presence will be deeply missed. His warm spirit, genuine kindness, and infectious laughter brightened the lives of all who knew him.

William is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Kehres, his children Christine and Kenneth, his stepson Bruce, siblings Ray, Karen, and Larry, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Together, they will carry on his legacy of love and compassion, cherishing the memories they shared with him. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn (King) Kehres and a sister, Diane Robinson. 

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Parthemore Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to follow immediately at 10:30 AM. Later that same day, all are invited to join in the public Burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Bill’s name.
