William L. Pierce

William L. Pierce, 69, of Camp Hill died Monday, April 14, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital at Holy Spirit.
He was a retired Command Sergeant Major, United States Army. After his Army career he worked in Civil Service and then the USO. He was a member of American Legion Post 974, and VFW Post 7415, both of New Cumberland. He volunteered at a Harrisburg Food Pantry.
He is survived by his wife, Pierrette C. Pierce; sister, Nancy Harvey of Danville, VA; sister-in-law, Marylene Armstrong (George) of New Cumberland; niece, Vicky Hodge of South Carolina; Nephews, Reginald Armstrong (Hsin Yi) of Florence, SC and Willie Armstrong of Danbury, CT.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday at St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
