William R. Mccreary

William R. McCreary, 81, of New Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Carolyn’s House, a service of Hospice of Central PA.

He was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal System in Shiremanstown and Camp Hill; an Army veteran; a model train enthusiast; a Civil War Buff, especially the Battle of Gettysburg; and enjoyed bird watching and feeding the squirrels.

Bill was born in New Cumberland to the late Leo H. and Ruth (Davidson) McCreary and was the widower of Malvina (McGaughey) McCreary.

He is survived by his children, Lisa M. Fogle of Etters, Deborah K. McCreary of New Cumberland and Bryan S. McCreary & his wife Rochelle of Dillsburg; three brothers, Eugene of New Cumberland, Ronald of Gettysburg and Larry of New Cumberland; and four grandchildren, Joshua, Ethan, Elijah and Makala.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
