William H. "Red" Zerbe, Sr.

William H. “Red” Zerbe, Sr. 91, of Fairview Twp. died Friday, November 3, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.

He was a retired restocking manager from Walmart, Harrisburg.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and baking.

He was born August 13, 1932 in Muir, PA to the late Henry and Naomi (Hand) Zerbe.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cherri E. Paxton; stepson, Sylvester H. “Bud” Bowers; several brothers and sisters, and grandchildren Michael and Stephanie Boone.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Elaine (Bixler) Zerbe; children, Linda Kay Arnold of New Cumberland, William H. Zerbe (Karen) of Enola, Kathleen M. Stauffer (Michael) of Dover, Michael L. Zerbe (Denise) of Hershey, Merrill S. Zerbe (Tina) of Lewisberry, James L. Zerbe (Gabrielle) of Harrisburg, and Christopher S. Zerbe of Elizabethville; step-children, Robin A. Chohany (Dave) of New Oxford, Carol Slatt of Mount Wolf, and Timothy L. Nuttle of New Cumberland; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 10am until memorial services at 11am Monday, November 13, 2023 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.  Interment will follow in Hoover Cemetery, Mt. Wolf.
